Choosing places to see and visit while we are in Phuket is a task worth meeting. We have plenty of attractions and sights to choose from. So many, in fact, we may struggle to fit them all in.
There are many things we can learn about Phuket. The more we discover before we reach our destination, the more we can look forward to once our flights to Phuket land in their destination.
Big Buddha
If we fly over southern Phuket on one of the many flights to Phuket landing each day, we will see the Big Buddha from the plane. Standing 45 metres high, the Buddha is reached by a challenging set of 94 steps leading us right up to it. We have quite a view while navigating those steps, however.
Karon Viewpoint
We will find this viewpoint near Kata Beach. We should not be confused by the similarly-named Karon Beach which is farther away from the viewpoint. We do, however, get wonderful views over much of the southern end of Phuket when reaching the viewpoint itself. The sea, the beaches, and the greenery can all be seen from here.
James Bond Island
This island is found within Phang Nga Bay. It is an iconic sight for those of us who have seen The Man with the Golden Gun, a famous James Bond film. It is impressive even if we have not seen it though, because its limestone form soars out of the water and appears almost top heavy. While crowded in high season, it is worth a trip to see this island.
Phuket has much more to treat us to, of course. Planning the sights that we will see when on flights to Phuket is ideal to help pass the time with pleasure.
